No worse than any of the other mindless blockbusters? Really? I thought this was so much worse then any other movie to come out this year. I was hard pressed to find one thing in this movie that I could speak positively about. Well, that’s not true. I thought Patel was alright. Everything else was just terrible.

This is very disappointing, but not unexpected. I was rooting for Shyamalan to make a “come back,” but was prepared for the more likely outcome of it not happening. I read once that Hitchcock made more than fifty films, but only thirteen of them (“Psycho”, “Rebecca”, “North by Northwest”, ect) were note worthy. While Shyamalan is not on the same level of Hitchcock by any means, in many reviews of “Signs” and “The Sixth Sense” he has been compared to the master of suspense. Unfortunately, Shyamalan probably already had his “good streak,” and we can’t expect anything of importance from the director again.

The difference is I didn’t wince and cringe watching Natalie Portman and Liam Neeson.

I think you can’t really blame the actors for the acting. You can only do so much with such a terrible script. I call it the “Star Wars”/George Lucas effect. You know Natalie Portman and Liam Neeson are amazing actors, but they weren’t so amazing with the script they had to work with. I really hope this wakes up Shyamalan, because this script was so BORING and STUPID.

I don’t think I’ll ever see this. Not my cup of tea, I don’t like the series and the trailer gave me a headache.
