About Marshall

Marshall started “Marshall and the Movies”  in July 2009 after a screening of “Julie & Julia” left him particularly inspired.

He was then a 16-year-old rising junior in high school.  He is now a 22-year-old college graduate, minoring in film studies.  In between, his writing has taken him to film festivals in Cannes and Telluride, been syndicated by the Camel City Dispatch, gotten him published on the homepage of The Christian Science-Monitor, and saved him countless dollars in the form of press screenings.

If you would like to speak with Marshall about advertising opportunities on site (because watching all these movies isn’t cheap!) or just want to chat about anything and everything film, feel free to contact him at mls4615 [at] aol [dot] com – or fill out this nifty feedback form that WordPress designed.

Please note before contacting Marshall that this site is devoted almost entirely to reviewing films released theatrically in the United States (and when he can’t see them on the big screen, he will review those same films on video).  He does not typically endorse Kickstarter or IndieGoGo campaigns.  He also will not publish any pre-written content; all writing posted on the site will be penned by Marshall.
