Not that I don’t love fielding inquiries for movie recommendations, but people have asked me to steer them in the right direction on Netflix so many times that it seems to call out for a more systematic response. So, in my continuing efforts to make “Marshall and the Movies” a more accessible resource to readers, I have now started a page dedicated to highlighting the best movies available for you to watch on Netflix instant streaming!
To those of you who have been following from the beginning, you’ll no doubt find the existence of this page humorously ironic. I was a longtime Netflix holdout – just look at this post, Random Factoid #260 (April 14, 2010):
“I don’t have Netflix, and I really don’t know why. I get e-mails all the time offering me free monthly subscriptions, but I have only taken one of them. I didn’t end up using it during the free month. I’m usually just so sporadic with renting movies that Netflix doesn’t provide wiggle-room for my spontaneity.”
Within a year, I was addicted, and I now joke regularly about being in a committed relationship with my Netflix queue. So for everyone who feels like they aren’t getting much out of the streaming service, let me serve as your couples’ counselor. Below, you’ll find some of my favorite movies available to stream via Netflix. If I’ve written a review of the film, click on the title to be redirected to some of my detailed thoughts on it.
One last thing: Netflix often shuffles around their library. I’ll do my best to keep up with their selection, but if you spot a title on a page that is no longer available, please let me know by filling out the form below!
