Yesterday afternoon, I had an exciting revelation.
For the first time in my life, I had seen every single Best Picture nominee on the day that the nominations were announced! I can now speak without reservations about personal taste on the category!

That IS quite the achievement, Marshall! I wish I could say the same, but I’m still missing “A Serious Man” (“The Hurt Locker” is coming next via Netflix), which didn’t hit theaters near me.
And in a year of 10 as well!
At least “A Serious Man” comes out on DVD next week. I was worried that “The Messenger” would get nominated for Best Picture and I wouldn’t get a chance to see it before the night of the ceremony.
And get excited for “The Hurt Locker.” It was #4 on my best of 2009 list. Read my review while you wait, and be sure to let me know what you thought!
